Autograph Authentication Process

Step 1

PSA authenticators conduct ink analysis, autograph structure analysis, object evaluation and side-by-side comparisons.

Authenticators may also use a video spectral comparator to further evaluate the autograph.

Step 2

Once the autograph is deemed genuine, a certification sticker bearing a unique alphanumeric serial number is applied to the item.

Step 3

A Letter of Authenticity (LOA) is issued for the genuine autograph. The document contains the same alphanumeric serial number to match the label on the item.

Step 4

The certified autograph can be verified publicly using our online Certification Verification webpage or mobile application.
