How to Package Comic Books & Magazines
Gather Your Supplies
You’ll need your submission form, comic or magazine bags, backing boards, a bubble sleeve, cardboard comic mailer, a new shipping box, masking tape, and packing tape.

Using two hands, place a book on top of a backing board.

Insert Books and Boards Into Individual Bags
Insert corners first to avoid damaging edges, and use masking tape to lightly seal each bag shut. Repeat this step for each book in your submission. Please do not use solid or opaque sleeves, as they require extra handling and cause delays.

Organize Your Books
Stack your books in the exact sequence seen on your submission form, starting with Item #1 on top, Item #2 directly underneath, and so on. For extra protection, place the top book face-down so that the stack is protected with backing boards on both ends.

Include Your Submission Form
Cut out the Submission ID label from the first page of your submission form and set it aside. Then place the submission forms in your bubble mailer.

Insert Bubble Mailer into Cardboard Mailer
Place bubble mailer on top of flat cardboard comic/magazine mailer. Fold in all four sides and tape them shut.

Box Up the Folded Mailer
Place the folded mailer into your new shipping box. Use extra bubble wrap or packing material to fill empty space to avoid shuffling during transit.

Seal the Box
Use packing tape or security tape to seal all seams securely. Avoid painters tape, thin scotch tape, or repurposed tape.

Apply Your Tracking Label
Adhere the tracking label ID from your confirmation page to the box. Use a printable sticker label or clear tape with barcodes completely visible to ensure quick intake on arrival.
