The 1983 Fleer set consists of 660 cards, each one measuring 2-1/2” x 3-1/2”. Card fronts bear a vivid color likeness with a light tan color frame extending to the edges. The Fleer name is printed at the top edge, with the player’s name, position, and team logo identified near the bottom. The reverse includes his name, the card number, statistics, and a full-color team logo. Card backs use a unique brown-on-white color scheme with a small player headshot, his name, card number, team name, position, statistics, and brief biography. This series is anchored by Ozzie Smith (#22), Robin Yount (#51), Cal Ripken, Jr. (#70), George Brett (#108), Pete Rose (#171), Mike Schmidt (#173), Carl Yastrzemski (#200), and Lee Smith (#508), as well as by the rookie cards of Wade Boggs (#179), Tony Gwynn (#360), and Ryne Sandberg (#507).
