PSA Shipping Guide

How to Package

Gather packaging materials:

Carefully insert each card into a clear penny sleeve.

Avoid solid or opaque sleeves as they require extra handling and cause delays.

Place each sleeved card into a semi-rigid card holder.

For standard trading cards, semi-rigid holders must be 3 5/16" x 4 7/8.

Do not use toploaders or include obstructions like tape, pull tabs, or sticky notes. Both sides should be completely visible.

Organize cards in the sequence seen on your submission form.

Proceed with Item #1 on top, Item #2 directly underneath, and so on.

Secure the bundle between cardboard dividers with 2-3 rubber bands.

Tight enough to keep items from moving around, not too tight as to damage or warp.

Wrap in bubble wrap and place in your new shipping box.

Use extra bubble wrap or packing material to fill empty space to avoid shuffling during transit.

Include your submission form printout inside the box.

Shipping multiple submissions together? Repeat the steps above so everything stays organized.

Seal the box with tape using multiple strips on seams.

Packing tape or security tape is preferred. Avoid painters tape, thin scotch tape, or repurposed tape.

Adhere the tracking label ID from your confirmation page to the box.

Use a printable sticker label or clear tape with barcodes completely visible to ensure quick intake on arrival.

Make sure your shipping label is addressed to the correct PSA destination.

PSA takes full responsibility for the safety and whereabouts of your items while they are in the possession of Collectors/PSA. However, Collectors/PSA is not liable for any damage or loss that occurs during the shipping process. The shipping guidelines above have been provided by Collectors’ Internal Asset Protection Team in collaboration with the Fedex, and UPS loss prevention teams.

If you do have issues with your items during shipment to our facilities, please reach out to the appropriate shipping carrier.

For domestic shipments, PSA uses multiple carriers and determines the best service based on various factors. These carriers currently include:

Please note that PSA’s carrier choices may change in the future. If you pay our shipping fee, all packages are shipped using PSA’s own insurance and the process requires signature confirmation for delivery.

If you would like to guarantee that your order ships via a certain carrier, please create a shipping account with that carrier (currently only FedEx) and provide PSA with the account number and shipping information for that account. If you use your own account, you will also need to insure your own shipment as our insurance only covers shipments made on our accounts. Due to the high volume of PSA Shipping, we are unable to accommodate special requests for specific shipping carriers or methods outside of specifying a carrier account number that bills directly to you.

Please also note that once an order is shipped, PSA is unable to reroute or redirect the shipment to a new address or intended recipient.
