About Me:
An 80s kid in Central Pennsylvania, I grew up on stories of Clemente, Stargell and the Steel Curtain. The Pirates surged to some prominence, only to have our World Series dreams dashed by the local guy with the bad knees. I checked out regularly on the Pirates during the 20 losing seasons that ensued, but picked up the hobby during their surge toward relevance in about 2010, thanks to my brother-in-law's insatiable love of ripping the oversold wax packs we grew up on.
