The 1962 Topps Mars Attacks set consists of 55 standard-sized, 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" cards. Card fronts bear captivating and shockingly graphic color depictions of mankind being burned, crushed, disintegrated and tortured in a variety of other ways, with a narrative of the title threat detailed on the reverse. A possible test issue of the set with a text box bearing the logo “Attack From Space” has been reported. The Topps Mars Attacks set remains one of the hobby’s most recognizable and highly prized sets of non-sports card issues, due to its unique depiction of gore and violence.
