1965 Topps - Basic

The 1965 Topps baseball set is widely considered one of the more attractive issues of the 1960s. With a strong variety of key rookies and star cards, this set has long been a collector favorite. The keys include Mickey Mantle, Pete Rose, Hank Aaron, Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, and Roberto Clemente. Key rookies include Hall of Famers Steve Carlton, Tony Perez, Jim Hunter, and Joe Morgan. The inclusion of the five Hall of Fame rookie cards make this set one of the most power packed sets, in terms of rookie power, ever. Beware of reverse chipping along the colored edges, centering on the front, and print defects. All three seem to be the biggest condition obstacles for this 598-set issue.
