Baseball - Cal Ripken Jr. Master Set: K's Collection Image Gallery
Of the 3 main RC's this was my favorite. I can still remember my mother buying me one of these at a card shop when I was a kid for $35, and then I showed it off to all my friends for years to come as if it was a rare artifact or something...
The poorest quality of the 3 main RC's. Centering was horrendous and the picture was often blurry. Getting one in PSA 10 will definitely cost ya.
Even though this is considered the Key RC I was never a big fan of it. I think I was turned off by the other 2 players, or maybe because it was a horizontal card. IDK, either way I have it in 10 and thats all that counts I guess.
3 HOFers!
Great Set!
My personal pick for an autograph. Card looks fantastic with a blue sig on it.
Good Luck cutting one of these things. This will probably be a Pop 1 for a while.
All the Leaf issues from the 80's are very poor quality, and quite tough to obtain in high grade. This is in my opinion the toughest! Centering is awful. Edge chipping is extremely common, as is the case with all black bordered cards. And the stock is very flimsy. Good luck getting one of these in 10. Even this one is off center T/B a bit. $$$
You gotta love the wood grain!
Get a good look. You may never see another 10 again.
Even though this was the first Bowman set since the 50's I was never a big fan of it due to the extended card size that didn't fit right into top loaders and 9-pocket pages.
Great Set!
Great Set!
Was located on the right edge of print sheet which led to all sorts of centering issues. Plus 90 Topps was notorius for chipping around the edges and corner dings right out of the pack.
The only set with a solid yellow border EVER!
I remember how much advertising Studio did when they first started production. Used to see this and the '92 Studio Ripken card in almost every comic book I opened during those years.
I'm actually pretty disappointed in this card...
Great Set!

A little crooked. Tried fixing it for 20 mins with nothing accomplished but making it marginally worse.
Same problems that plagued '93, however the quality control seemed better probably due to this being Pinnacle's first year of production.
I've always loved the photo on this card.
Great Set! Took me waaaay too long to pick this one up.

Extremely Tough Due to the Black border! Also the super high gloss on the cards would cause them to stick together, and when they were peeled apart sometimes color from the other card would stay behind!
Not a show stopper like the 93's, but a crowd pleaser non-the-less.

Another crappy black border set!

This was my very first 10! Self Submission, 1 of 1 at the time!

Great Photo! I remember watching this game on TV.
Came in the mail with a cracked holder. Card was undamaged so I'm sending it in to get a new case.
