Published Set: Grote15's Black & Gold 1973 Topps Baseball Set

The 1973 Topps set may not be as popular as some of its contemporaries like the colorful 1975 set or the notoriously tough 1971 , but the photography, horizontal action shots and the black and gold reverse design have always been visually appealing to me as a collector. I open a lot of packs from the 1970s, and have tried to fill this set with as many pack fresh examples as possible. The 1973 rack pack is one of the tougher racks from the 1970s to acquire, and 1973 also marked the first appearance of the "all series" packs, which debuted late in 1973 and are very tough to find in their own right.
