The 1970 Topps sets is one of the tougher sets to compile in a high grade due to its having a gray border that stretches to the edge of the card. It probably would be more respected for its condition-sensitivity if it weren't the predecessor to the EXTREMELY difficult black-bordered 1971 set. The 1970 set only contains one significant rookie card, that of "died way before his time icon" Thurman Munson. At that time, this 720 card set was the largest on the market, which made/makes set completion a very tough task. To read an in-depth article, click here.
