1970 Kellogg's - Basic

The 1970 Kellogg's set was the first of many issues produced by the popular cereal manufacturer. These 3-D style cards, as far as design is concerned, followed in the footsteps of the 1968 Topps test issue but are not nearly as rare. This 75-card set features some major stars like Willie Mays, Pete Rose, and Roberto Clemente to name a few. The cards are very susceptible to cracking in the 3-D layer and those damaged cards will be drastically lowered in grade. Despite being a somewhat obscure set, the Kellogg's cards have always been very collectible because of their unique design and affordable price tag. This issue and its design, perhaps more than any other issue of the era, defines the decade.
