This set marks the return to the horizontal format (3½" by 2½") and features both a color portrait of the player and a back-and-white "action" photo. As is true of the 1959 set there are 572 cards in the series. The reverse exhibits the lifetime statistics of the player plus a cartoon and a biography. The high numbers (553-572) include a run of "All-Star" cards that feature Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Roger Maris, Eddie Mathews, Ernie Banks, Willie Mays and other greats of the day.
