1959 Topps - Basic

This was the largest set of cards ever issued at the time, with 572 different players (or executives or multi-players or teams or injured players ad infinitum). The cards are 2½" by 3½" and feature a round-framed photo of the player along with a facsimile autograph. Beginning with card #507 the printing changes to black (instead of red and green) and the number is in a black box (instead of green).
