1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips

This regional set is one of the more popular, and toughest, regional sets in the hobby. They are not only very attractive; they are also very condition sensitive due to the way in which they were distributed. These cards were placed in bags of potato chips so, in turn, many of the cards are found with staining from the potato chip grease. The key card in the set, Mickey Mantle, has always been a collector favorite as one of his best looking cards. Other star cards include Duke Snider, Gil Hodges, Bob Feller, and Phil Rizzuto to name a few. There are also two very scarce short printed cards, Walker Cooper and Paul Smith.
