Don't tell anyone who grew up in California in the 1940s that this is a "minor league set" or you'll have an argument on your hands. The Pacific Coast League was major league quality baseball all the way and kids talked about playing for the Hollywood Stars when they grew up, not the New York Yankees. This rare set is composed of 36 colored portraits in a 2-1/16" by 2½" format. The cards were available only on the West Coast and Philadephia and received minimal distribution.
