The 1937 Four-on-One Exhibits baseball set consists of 16 cards, each approximately 3-3/8” by 5-5/8”. Each postcard-style collectible bears a quartet of teammates (for 64 total players). The respective athlete’s name is identified beneath their likeness and a line reading “Ptd. in U.S.A.” appears at the bottom border of some … but not all … of the cards. All cards from this 1937 series were unnumbered and printed with an olive green color tint with a blank back. Cards with a lighter blue tint have also been reported. Highlights include: Lazzeri/Gomez/Gehrig/J. DiMaggio; Mancuso/Leslie/Hubbell/Ott; Cochrane/Goslin/Rowe/Gehringer; P. Waner/Suhr/Blanton/Vaughn; Grove/Foxx/Cronin/Ferrell; and Herman/Galan/Lee/Hartnett. Many cards in this series are often confused with pieces from the 1936 issue due to the identical printing lines on the front and a repetition of several player photos.
