This gorgeous Hillerich & Bradsby bat was game issued to Pete Rose during the World Series and then signed by the 1975 World Champion Cincinnati Reds. More than 25 magnificent signatures appear across its barrel and upper handle, including Rose, George Foster, Tony Perez, Joe Morgan, Dave Concepcion, Johnny Bench, Sparky Anderson, and even the team doctor and President Bob Howsam. The bat also carries an interesting story, as its consignor was traveling with the Reds at the time and was upset the day following Carlton Fisk's infamous home run. The gentleman, in obvious distress, was spotted by Rose, who told him to cheer up and that the Reds will win Game 7. The consignor took this actionable advice and wagered with Rose that if the Reds won, he would have to give him one of his bats. When they won Game 7, Rose stayed true to his word and gave this bat to our consignor, who then got the team to sign it on the flight home. The signatures grade 8/10 by PSA and come with a PSA LOA. The 35" bat has its model number S222 stamped on the knob. Of course, the Big Red Machine would go on to win back-to-back World Series the next year.
