These men were able to step up in the postseason and help give their team a shot at the World Series title. Since 1980, their have been many memorable performances. Some captured MVP honors with their bat like Will Clark for the San Francisco Giants in 1989 and Albert Pujols for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2004, while others dominated on the mound like pitcher Orel Hershiser for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1988 or pitcher John Smoltz for the Atlanta Braves in 1992. While each of the aforementioned players were stars of the regular season, sometimes, a lesser-known player emerges with a breakout performance like Steve Avery did in 1991 for the Atlanta Braves. Each of the honorees made a name for themselves by coming through in the clutch.

Notes: All balls autographed on the "sweet spot" receive 1 bonus point.
In order for a single-signed graded baseball to qualify for the Single-Signed Baseball categories, the item must have undergone the full, Autographed Baseball Grading service, which assigns individual grades for the autograph and baseball along with an overall grade. If the baseball was submitted under the general Autograph Grading service, which only assigns a grade to the autograph, please be advised that it is only eligible for the Any Medium categories.
