1963 Topps

The 1963 Topps Hockey set consists of 66 cards measuring 2-1/2" by 3-1/2". The cards represent players from the Boston Bruins (#s 1-21), Chicago Blackhawks (#s 22-43) and New York Rangers (#s 44-65), with one checklist card (#66). Each card front features a boldly colored portrait juxtaposed with a black-and-white action shot, with a hockey stick design bearing the player’s name and team affiliation on the blade. The reverse carrying statistical and biographical highlights. The set is anchored by the first appearance of Jacques Plante (#45) on a Topps trading card, as well as Johnny Buczyk (#11), Glenn Hall (#23), Bobby Hull (#23) and Stan Mikita (#23), and the rookie cards of Ed Johnston (#2), Ed Westfall (#8) and Gilles Villemure (#46).
