Andruw Jones (Blue Refractor)

Andruw Rudolf Jones (April 23, 1977-) was a respected Major League Baseball outfielder who, in the 1996 World Series, became the youngest player to hit a home run in the postseason and the second player to homer in his first two World Series at bats. The Atlanta Braves signed Jones as an amateur free agent in 1993. He debuted with the team toward the end of the 1996 campaign and earned his first World Series ring. Jones spent the bulk of his professional career with the Braves (1996-2007), and in 2000 had a .303 batting average with 36 home runs and 104 RBIs while making his first of five All-Star teams. The following season, Jones had 34 homers and drove in 104 runs. Andruw’s most productive season, however, came in 2005 as he became one of the team’s stars and captured a Silver Slugger Award. On September 14, 2005, he hit his 300th career home run, with a league-leading 51 homers for the season (breaking franchise records set by Hank Aaron and Eddie Mathews) and 128 RBI. Jones went on to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers (2008) and Texas Rangers (2009), and hit his 400th home run on July 11, 2010, as a member of the Chicago White Sox (2010). Andruw Jones played his final two seasons in Major Leagues as a member of the New York Yankees (2011-2012) and finished his career with a .254 batting average with 1,933 hits including 434 home runs, 1,204 runs, 152 stolen bases and 1,289 RBIs in 2,196 MLB games. He has also posted a .990 fielding percentage with 124 outfield assists.
