1988 Donruss

The 1988 Donruss Baseball set consists of 668 cards, each measuring 2-1/2" by 3-1/2”. The front of each card bears a posed or in-action color photo framed by a unique black-and-blue design. A team logo is displayed at the corner while the respective player’s name and position are printed near the bottom edge. This Donruss set is anchored by the regular issue cards of Roger Clemens (#51), Nolan Ryan (#61), Cal Ripken, Jr. (#171), Mark McGwire (#256), Barry Bonds (#326), and Greg Maddux (#539). Key rookie cards include Roberto Alomar (#34), Mark Grace (#40), Ellis Burks (#174), Ken Caminiti (#308), David Wells (#640), and Tom Glavine (#644). Subsets include Diamond King (#s 1-27) and Rated Rookies (#s 28-47). Several cards in 600-number series were short printed by Donruss, with cards #648-660 somewhat more difficult to acquire.
