Thomas Aloysius “Tommy” Clarke (May 9, 1888 - August 14, 1945) spent 10 seasons as a Major League Baseball catcher, the vast majority of time with the Cincinnati Reds (1909-1917). Clarke was little more than an average player during his career, managing a career-high 87 hits in 1913 with 38 RBIs (also a personal best) in 114 games. Following 699 games with Cincinnati, Clarke was rostered for a single game with the Chicago Cubs (1918), but never took the field. Tommy boasted a .265 batting average with six home runs and 191 RBIs.
