The 1914 Piedmont Art Stamps (T330-2) baseball set bears a striking resemblance to the 1911 T205 Gold Border tobacco set, measuring 1-1/2” by 2-5/8” and printed on an extremely flimsy paper stock. The backs indicate “100 Designs”, but more than 110 players exit and a number of players are pictured in two different poses numbering the set to 118, though more examples may emerge. Each image, aside from Joe Wood, Walt Blair and Bill Killifer match the T205 set. The backs urge collectors to assemble this set within a “Handsome Art Stamp Album”, exchanging 25 Piedmont coupons for the catalog, thus making these cards difficult to find in superb condition. The obvious difference between the Piedmont Art Stamp set and the T205 issuance other than the paper stock is the perforations at the edges of each card. This set features Hall of Famers like Home Run Baker, Chief Bender, Roger Bresnahan, Mordecai Brown, Frank Chance, Fred Clarke, Ty Cobb, Eddie Collins, Johnny Evers, Clark Griffith, Miller Huggins, Hughie Jennings, Walter Johnson, Rube Marquard, Christy Mathewson, J.J. McGraw, Tris Speaker, Joe Tinker, Bobby Wallace, Ed Walsh and Zach Wheat.
