1909-11 American Caramel E90-1

Issued from 1909 to 1911, the American Caramel E90-1 set consists of 120 cards, each 1-1/2” by 2-3/4”. Each colorized card shows an artistic rendering of the athlete with his name, position and team denoted in a white border area at the bottom of each card. Several players exist in more than one pose or background color, adding to the difficulty in compiling a master set. Cards carry advertising backs. The most coveted example is the rookie card of Joe Jackson, as well as representations of Home Run Baker, Chief Bender, Roger Breshahan, Mordecai Brown, Fred Clarke, Ty Cobb, Hugh Duffy, George Graham, Willie Keeler, Nap Lajoie, Christy Mathewson, Mike Mitchell, Eddie Plank, Tris Speaker, Bill Sweeney, Honus Wagner, Ed Walsh and Cy Young.
