The Goodwin Company's Old Judge N167 series consists of 14 cards, each measuring about 1-1/2" by 2-1/2" with all of the players members of the New York National team – a club that would go on to become the New York Giants. The keepsakes bear an artistically rendered likeness of the player and carry the Old Judge name at the top border and athlete’s name, home team city and position along the bottom edge. Card backs tout the tobacco product in an elaborate design. Players in this set are Roger Connor, Larry Corcoran, Tom Deasley, Mike Dorgan, Dude Easterbrook, Buck Ewing, Joe Gerhardt, Pete Gillespie, Tim Keefe, Jim Murtrie, James O’Rourke, Danny Richardson, John M. Ward and Mickey Welch (printed with name misspelled “Welsh”). Without question, the N167’s are considered one of the hobby’s most elusive sets, with cards belonging to Connor, Ewing, Keefe, O’Rourke, Ward and Welch the most prized.
