Stephen Alford
Stephen Todd Alford (November 23, 1964- ) was a two-time consensus All-American guard at the University of Indiana, who got the most out of what most considered limited natural ability through hard work and dedication. He was constantly tested by head coach, Bobby Knight, while at Indiana, but rose to become one of the most succesful and beloved players in school history. Alford played four seasons with the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors before embarking upon a college coaching career. He has coached at Manchester University, Southwest Missouri State University, University of Iowa, University of New Mexico, UCLA and University of Nevada-Reno.
