Gary Pettis
Gary George Pettis (April 3, 1958- ) was a speedy centerfielder with the California Angels (1982-1987), Detroit Tigers (1988-1989, 1992), Texas Rangers (1990-1991) and San Diego Padres (1992). Pettis stole 354 bases and won five Gold Glove Awards during his career, and retired with a .236 batting average. He went into coaching after his playing days ended and has spent more than 20 years at the Major League level, winning a World Series with the Houston Astros in 2017.
