RUNNEMEDE, NJ - FEBRUARY 4, 2019 - Personal collections, championship rings, rare cards and historic documents headline the Goldin Auctions 2019 Winter Auction, which is open for bidding through March 2 at GoldinAuctions.com. The auction includes the second half of the remarkable Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Collection, comprised of 247 lots, including the ball used for his last points, four NBA Championship Rings and three NBA MVP Awards. The bidding is also expected to be fierce for a pair of Kobe Bryant 2000 NBA Championship rings gifted by the future Hall of Famer to his parents. The rings return to the auction block after selling for a combined $280,000 in 2013.

Another highlight of the auction is a 23-lot (Lots #252-274) historic collection of player contracts from a host of Hall of Famers and legendary players, including: 1957 Mickey Mantle Yankees contract; 1958 Hank Aaron Milwaukee Braves contract; 1959 Eddie Mathews Milwaukee Braves contract; 1924 Al Simmons Philadelphia Athletics rookie season contract; 1959 Gil Hodges Brooklyn Dodgers contract; 1948 Pee Wee Reese Brooklyn Dodgers contract; and many more. The auction also features a spectacular 73-lot Hall of Fame Ticket Registry (Lots #275-347) from an assortment of World Series games and historic events, such as Roger Maris' 60th home run in 1961, Mickey Mantle's last career home run, Hank Aaron's final career hit and many more.

Lot #1 - 1989 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Game-Used, Signed & Inscribed Spalding Basketball from his Final Career Points (38,387) - The game ball from his final NBA game on April 23, 1989, versus Seattle - a 127-117 Lakers win. Kareem signed the panel of this basketball north of the Spalding wordmark in black marker. Inscribed near Abdul-Jabbar's instantly recognizable signature is "Last Reg Season Game Ball 4/89" and "38,387 Pts Lifetime"

Lot #33 - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 1971-72 NBA Most Valuable Player Podoloff Trophy presented to Lew Alcindor of the Milwaukee Bucks -the second of his six NBA MVP Awards

Lot #37 - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 1973-74 NBA Most Valuable Player Podoloff Trophy presented to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of the Milwaukee Bucks - the third of his six career NBA MVP Awards

Lot #184 - 2000 Kobe Bryant Lakers NBA Championship Ring - Gifted by Kobe to his father, Joe Bryant (accompanied by LOA from Pam Bryant). Proud of winning his very first NBA Championship, Kobe ordered an extra copy of the majestic ring for his father, Joe Bryant. This is not an executive version of the Championship ring, but the same EXACT ring given to Kobe and the other Lakers players. This ring sold for over $173,000 in 2013.

Lot #185 - 2000 Kobe Bryant Lakers NBA Championship Ring - Gifted by Kobe to his mother, Pam Bryant (accompanied by LOA from Pam Bryant). Kobe Bryant magnanimously ordered an additional ring for his mother. This is not an executive version of the Championship ring, but the same EXACT ring given to Kobe Bryant and other Lakers players, but issued in a smaller size to fit Pam Bryant. This ring sold for over $107,000 in 2013.
