Next month, Baseball Card Exchange (BBCE) will be breaking a box of 1986/87 Fleer Basketball live at the National Convention in Cleveland, OH.  The break will be held at the BBCE booth in the Corporate Area on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 2pm.

While there haven't been many 1986/87 Fleer Basketball boxes broken lately, this isn't an ordinary box.  The box originated from their find of seven original boxes in Jefferson City, Missouri back in April (https://www.psacard.com/articles/articleview/9500/baseball-card-exchange-discovers-seven-original-1986-87-fleer-basketball-boxes-missouri) and the best box was saved for this break.  While the sticker is always visible through the bottom of the wrapper, in order to verify authenticity of a box, BBCE inspects the card showing through the top of the wrapper as well.  This box has an incredible 15 HOFs visible through the top of the pack - including Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, Julius Erving, and Isiah Thomas to name of few - but also TWO Michael Jordan rookies!  There will be two chances to get a pack with a Jordan rookie showing, worth $12,000-15,000 each.  While authenticating the box, BBCE also verified a third pack that should contain a Jordan, and with seven yet-to-be or un-identifiable packs, this box could contain a possible fourth Jordan rookie!

Unlike most breaks these days, participants will have the option to keep their pack sealed, open it later back at the hotel, or break it live in front of the crowd!
