Newport Beach, Calif (July 2, 2018) – This month, PSA (www.PSAcard.com) plans to awaken the inner entertainment aficionado in all of us. PSA is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at the 2018 Comic-Con International Show inside the San Diego Convention Center at 111 W. Harbor Drive from Thursday, July 19, to Sunday, July 22. Setting up at booth #5617 on the main level, PSA will be handing out PSA-branded tote bags; a special “2018 Comic Con Collector’s Edition” of the SMR Price Guide magazine boasting more than 100 pages of TCG news, notes and price guide information; and various PSA-graded Pokémon cards to show goers who visit the PSA booth. Show hours will be Thursday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

PSA is also hosting an ongoing sweepstakes that will culminate at Comic-Con where Pokémon enthusiasts will have the opportunity to win a special three-card set of PSA-graded 1999 Pokémon cards signed by artist Mitsuhiro Arita. The signed cards will consist of the 1999 Pokémon Charizard #4 (Hologram), PSA NM 7 / AUTO 9; the 1999 Pokémon Charmeleon #24, PSA NM-MT 8 / AUTO 10; and the 1999 Pokémon Charmander # 46, PSA NM-MT 8 / AUTO 8. The grand prize is valued at $1,000. The giveaway items (tote bags, SMR magazines and PSA-graded Pokémon cards) are limited in quantity, and only available while supplies last.

To be eligible to win the three-card autographed set, show attendees can visit the PSA booth and be entered in the sweepstakes by a PSA Customer Service representative. Those unable to attend the show can enter online at www.PSAcard.com/comiccon. The winner does not need to be present to claim the grand prize.

“The market for graded Pokémon cards has been red-hot recently, led most notably by the $98,400 sale in December of a complete set of PSA-graded 1999 Pokémon 1st Edition cards,” said PSA Vice President Steve Sloan. “PSA’s presence at Comic-Con presents entertainment collectors with an opportunity to explore the benefits of third-party authentication and grading firsthand.”

PSA Customer Service will be accepting take-home submissions for all service levels. PSA/DNA experts will be on-hand, providing on-site authentication and offering a $10 authentication special for autographs obtained at the show.

PSA is the world’s largest trading card, autograph and memorabilia authentication and grading service. Since 1991, PSA experts have examined and certified over 30 million collectibles with a combined value of over $1 billion. For more information, visit www.PSAcard.com.
