(San Diego, California) – This summer, PSA (PSAcard.com) plans to entice the inner Pokémon trainer in all of us. During the July 20-23 Comic-Con® International: San Diego, the card grading company is offering various Pokémon-themed prizes and giveaways.
During the event, PSA is hosting a sweepstakes where Comic-Con visitors have the opportunity to win an original Charizard painting, created by Arthur K. Miller, renowned artist whose work has appeared on numerous covers of the company’s monthly magazine, Sports Market Report (SMR). The sweepstakes winner will also receive a PSA MINT 9 First Edition Charizard, valued at $2,100.
“We like to host sweepstakes like this during the bigger shows, and it doesn’t get much bigger than Comic-Con. We thought the show is a great venue to celebrate the continued popularity of Pokémon, and at the same time let people know what PSA is all about,” said PSA President Joe Orlando.
In order to enter the sweepstakes, show attendees can visit the PSA booth (booth 5617) and be entered by a PSA Customer Service representative. Those unable to attend the show can enter online at www.PSAcard.com/comiccon.
In addition to the sweepstakes, PSA is handing out free copies of a special Pokémon-themed SMR issue, written in honor of the event. Free PSA-graded Pokémon cards and Pokémon-themed tote bags will also be available at the booth. Each giveaway item is limited in quantity, and available only while supplies last.
PSA Customer Service will be accepting take-home submissions for all service levels. PSA/DNA experts will be on-hand, providing on-site authentication and offering a $10 authentication special for autographs obtained at the show.
The July 2017 Comic-Con International: San Diego (www.comic-con.org/cci) will be held in the San Diego Convention Center, 111 W. Harbor Dr., San Diego, California. Show hours are Thursday-Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
