Delson, Quebec, Canada – June 15, 2017 – Two Current Finest and All-Time Finest PSA 1930s and 1940s O-Pee-Chee hockey card sets are featured in another blockbuster grouping offered at auction from the incomparable holdings of collector extraordinaire Simon Bourque.
Toronto Maple Leafs legend Charlie Conacher’s card anchors the chart-topping and award-winning 1937-38 O-Pee-Chee Series “E” (V304E) set of 48 that features 25 cards, or just over half, that are individual leaders on their respective lines of the famous PSA Population Report. This incredible set, which includes Toe Blake’s rookie card, boasts a remarkable all-time high set rating of 7.56 and has won PSA honors every year since it was first registered in 2011.
Blake’s 1940-41 O-Pee-Chee (V301-2) card is No. 1 in a fabulous 50-card set that tops the charts with a combined mark of 6.617, making it a perennial PSA winner since it was first registered in 2010.
