Robert Edward Auctions’ Fall Auction is Now Open for Bidding- Closes Sunday, October 30th

Bidding is now open in Robert Edward Auctions’ much anticipated Fall Auction, which features more than 2,200 lots of cards, autographs, memorabilia, and more ending Sunday, October 30. Headlining the auction is an example from the famous “Lucky 7 Find” of Ty Cobb cards with Ty Cobb backs. The card, graded 1.5 by PSA, is the first example from this incredible find to hit the auction block. The Ty Cobb with Ty Cobb back card has always been one of card collecting’s most legendary rarities, and this example is expected to shatter price records as collectors clamor to own this stunning example with superb provenance attached.

The Fall Auction features countless additional impressive highlights, including a host of cards available for the first time in more than a decade along with some exciting new finds that will be sure to have collectors buzzing. Featured items include a stunning 1916 M101-5 Sporting News Babe Ruth rookie along with one of only three known 1914 Boston Garter Joe Jackson cards. High-grade examples of key rookie cards from all major sports are also available, including a 1939 Play Ball Ted Williams, 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays, 1954 Topps Hank Aaron and Ernie Banks, 1957 Topps Basketball Bill Russell, and 1957 Topps Football Johnny Unitas and Bart Starr, all graded PSA NM-MT 8, along with a PSA GEM MINT 10 example of the 1986 Fleer Basketball Michael Jordan. Timeless classics, such as Goudey Ruths and T206 Cobbs also dot the auction, including PSA NM-MT 8 examples of each. One of the world’s finest N162 Goodwin Champions sets and a flawless PSA MINT 9 Old Judge of King Kelly are among the oldest items in the auction.

Memorabilia is also well represented, with a staggering array of high power game-used bats presented for bidders to enjoy. The auction includes PSA/DNA certified specimens used by Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Roberto Clemente, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, and Hank Aaaron, among others. An extremely rare Roberto Clemente game-worn jersey, dating from his prolific 1967 season and originating directly from his family, is being offered publicly for the first time in many years. Several impressive display pieces, including a Christy Mathewson Tuxedo advertising sign, an Addie Joss Day panorama, and a new-to-the-hobby 1895 Cleveland Spiders photo with Cy Young, are also available.
