An embedded Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) security hologram has now been added to the red insert labels used in PSA card, ticket and pack holders to give buyers and sellers even more confidence in PSA-certified collectibles.
PSA is introducing a new, embedded hologram on the face of every PSA encapsulated label in order to further enhance the security features found on our certified products. The hologram is actually part of the insert label paper, similar to the hologram feature we already incorporated into PSA/DNA Certificates (COAs) and Letters of Authenticity (LOAs)," said PSA President Joe Orlando.
The hologram appears on the base of each insert label and is centered with the PSA name at the top of the label.

"Over the past few years, our company has spent a lot of time revamping and improving the security features used in our various services. From the embedded hologram technology used in our PSA/DNA COAs and LOAs to the complete overhaul of our PSA trading card holders to our most recent addition on the PSA certification labels, this multi-year project has gone extremely well. The reaction from the hobby has been tremendous," said Orlando.
"We take this part of our job very seriously. I can say, without any doubt, that the security features used on our products are the best they have ever been. As time goes on, it is imperative that we continue to look for ways to enhance our products in order to combat unscrupulous individuals who look to harm our customers," emphasized Orlando.
"The buyers are the ones spending their hard-earned money on the collectibles they love. They can help protect themselves through education and by insisting on buying from reputable sources. We have informative resources on www.PSAcard.com that can help arm buyers with essential information about the hobby and our products."
Since 1991, PSA experts have examined and certified more than 24 million trading cards, autographs and other entertainment and sports memorabilia with an estimated combined value of more than $1 billion. PSA is a division of Collectors Universe, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLCT).
