Clean Sweep Auctions Two Day Auction is now open and ends August 17 and 18

Clean Sweep Auctions' Two Day Auction is open for bidding. The current auction is one of the most interesting and exciting auctions that we have offered in our 30+ years in the hobby. This auction is our unique to the industry affordable auction, with almost all items having a retail value of $500 or less, and low minimum bids.

Checking in at a mammoth 2,297 lots, the auction contains the fruits of three terrific long-time collections. The auction features an unbelievable vintage Philadelphia Phillies autograph and photo collection, the person who did this attempted to get an autograph and vintage photo of every Phillies player back to the 19th century. There is a tremendous selection of scarce autographs of deadball era players who died before 1950, and the best selection of photos from 1900-1940 that we have ever offered. Other anchors for the auction include a wonderful Cleveland Indians and Browns autograph and memorabilia collection going back to the 1940s, with a world of terrific and interesting content; the final triad of the auction is a fine New York Mets memorabilia collection, with a big run of tickets, paper items and game used memorabilia (there will be more to come from all three collections in future auctions!).

Day one is all about baseball autographs. We have a deep offering of signed cards, including desirable HOF Rookie cards, 1952 Topps signed cards with a Minoso Rookie, 1950s to 1980s HOFers and quality group lots. Perez Steele and Yellow HOF Plaque collectors will have quality sections to review, with some tough pieces offered as singles.

Collectors of signed photos will see a strong offering of 8x10 photos, our biggest run of signed Burke photos in years and many scarce vintage signed photos. 3x5, GPC and cut autograph collectors will see a very deep offering with a big run of pre-World War Two players, HOFers and scarcities. There are interesting signed letters, documents, contracts and all manner of vintage baseball autographs that hardly ever come up for public sale. There is a nice selection of team sheets from the 1940s through the late 1970s, a great selection of signed larged prints and oversized items, signed hats, jerseys and bats.

Signed baseball collectors will see a nice run of clean HOFers, quality lots and a good run of multi-signed and team balls from the 1920s through the current era.

Day two contains all of the other sports, and ends with a bang with baseball memorabilia and publications. Basketball collectors will see some nice Wilt Chamberlain items, HOFer signed basketballs, jerseys and photos. Boxing collectors will see some nice Ali items.

Football is a big part of the auction, the largest offering of football autographs and memorabilia that we have ever had. The auction contains a huge selection of Goal Line postcards as singles and lots, signed jerseys, signed footballs and a big run of signed mini-helmets. There is a strong selection of signed photos, 3x5s, large prints, programs and some better signed HOF Rookie Cards and star cards that go back to the 1940s.

Football memorabilia includes a full Super Bowl program run broken into lots, and many terrific Cleveland Browns programs and paper items dating back to the 1940s. Hockey collectors will see some classic signed large prints, and items signed by iconic HOFers. A fun Wheaties collection comes next, with many signed boxes from key sports HOFers, group lots, display pieces and other seldom offered fun collectibles.

Baseball memorabilia closes out the auction. We have an outstanding selection of over one hundred original photos dating back to 1900 with key HOFers as single lots, quality tickets with a Mets 1963 to the present Opening Day ticket run, pennants, game used equipment and more. Baseball pubs include nice World Series programs, vintage yearbooks, a big run of Dodger and Yankee scorecards and a run of Sport Magazines sold in annual lots.

Be sure to check out the website and place your bids. Auction ends August 17 and 18, 2022.
