Clean Sweep Auction’s current auction is their unique to the industry affordable all sports autograph, card and memorabilia auction; nearly all of the items in this auction have a retail value of $500 or less and low minimum bids.
This will be their final auction in 2020, Clean Sweep wants to wish all of our customers a Happy and Healthy Holiday season. 2021 looks to be an exciting year for Clean Sweep as they are currently accepting consignments and buying outright for their next major auction, slated to end in late January 2021. The consignment deadline is Monday December 14th. Highlights include a fresh 1915 Cracker Jack Complete Set, multiple Mickey Mantle Rookie Cards and superb autographs.
The current auction takes place over two days, day one is all about baseball autographs. The auction opens with a solid selection of signed cards. You’ll find some 1930s signed HOF gum cards, a run of 1961 Fleers and various 1960s through 1980s Topps cards. Collectors of Yellow HOF Plaques will see a deep run of signed plaques, with Brett, Combs, Dean, Griffey, Hartnett, Manush, Paige, Puckett and Traynor.
Signed 3x5s include Maris, a vintage Mays and a Rookie Tom Seaver. Signed 8x10 photos are always a big part of these auctions, with an extensive offering highlighted by a run of wonderful original photos of HOFers signed at Cooperstown. Other highlights include a 1967 Red Sox Upper Deck print with Ted Williams and several nice DiMaggio, Mantle and Williams signed photos.
You’ll find a deep run of signed jerseys, with classic HOFers and contemporary players. Highlights include a terrific Mets jacket, Jeter and Rivera. Signed large prints include two fine Aarons, Koufax, a Mantle/Williams UDA, a stunning huge Rivera and much more. There are some interesting signed programs and a fine run of 1971 and 1980 team sheets. Signed bat collectors will see a huge selection, with HOFers, Negro Leaguers and tougher signed bats like Charlie Grimm and Billy Martin.
Signed baseballs conclude day one. Look for a huge offering of signed signed balls. There are over a hundred single lots of HOFers, many nice broadcaster singles, some interesting oddball signed baseballs and an extensive run of single signed ball group lots. Multi-signed balls go back to the 1950s, with a deep run of team signed balls, interesting combo balls, HOFer signed balls and All Star Game balls among more.
Day two begins with baseball cards. This section is mainly higher grade regular cards and oddball cards from 1960 to the present. Highlights here include a run of clean 1952 Num Num Indians, solid runs of 1960s Topps stars, 1961 Peter’s Meats full boxes and many higher grade partial sets and group lots from the 1960s and 1970s. Modern card collectors will see a fresh Albert Pujols 1/1 signed jersey card and quality slabbed cards and lots. Collectors of unopened product with see a run of 1980s Topps and Donruss rack boxes.
Basketball collectors will see nice lots of 1969 Topps Rulers, 1970-1 Topps Posters, 1970s and 1980s sets and modern Panini group lots. Basketball autographs include a terrific Boston Celtics signed book and some vintage signed items.
Football is a big part of this auction. Spread out over hundreds of lots, you’ll also find higher grade card sets and lots from the 1970s and 1980s. There is a huge run of signed Goal Line postcards, checking in at almost 150 different lots. Highlights here include Brown, Buchanan, Grange, Landry, Luckman (rare), Namath, Nitschke, Starr, Unitas and Webster. Football 3x5s include a really nice Arnie Herber. Rounded out with many signed football 8x10s, cuts, mini-helmets, footballs, framed photos and more.
Baseball memorabilia concludes the auction with interesting game jerseys, gloves, bats and other equipment. Ticket collectors will see content going back to the 1940s, with note to the final Babe Ruth home run ticket at Yankee Stadium and many World Series tickets. Other memorabilia includes vintage pins, pennants, photos and other content.
Baseball pubs nicely close out the category with clean World Series Programs and yearbooks from the 1940s through the 1960s including 1955 Brooklyn Dodger and 1962 New York Mets yearbooks and other interesting content.
