Taking My Hacks: Respecting What Came Before You
Time marches on within our hobby, just as it does everywhere else. Changes can be fun and beneficial, but it’s never a good thing to forget your roots. Collectors Universe President and CEO, Joe Orlando, talks about changes he has seen in his time in our hobby and why we should not forget those who came before us.

Collecting the 1961 Post Cereal Baseball Card Set
For many longtime hobbyists, the combination of breakfast cereal and baseball cards conjures particularly enjoyable memories. Throw in the newspaper box scores and you have the childhood equivalent of fine dining. In the following SMR article, collector Pete Putman reflects upon his childhood memories of the 1961 Post Cereal cards and what the set means to the hobby today.

Collecting 1972 Topps Baseball Autographs – A Worthwhile, Psychedelic Trip
There are few baseball card sets that offer the autograph collector as wide a range of challenges as 1972 Topps. This set includes nearly 800 cards, a load of Hall of Famers, many challenging signatures and sadly, some untimely deaths. The result is a hobby challenge like no other. Collector Scot A. Reader shares his insights into assembling an autographed 1972 Topps set.

Prospect Player Sets
Prospect Player Sets are similar to the Rookie Player sets. Unlike the Rookie Player sets which consist of only official rookie cards, the Prospect sets will include all rookie year issued cards. For example; if a players official rookie cards are issued in 1989, the Prospect set will require all qualifying cards issued from 1989 and is not limited to only official rookie cards. If you would like to request a new set checklist, please use the request form on the Set Requests page. To view recently added set checklists, please refer to the PSA Set Registry News page.
