Chasing Ghosts and Legends – One Collector’s Hunt for Autographed 1961 Fleer Basketball Cards
There are few aspects of the hobby that force a collector to learn more about their project than collecting autographed card sets. Short-prints, signing habits, post-athletic lives, early mortality... this genre of the hobby has it all. SMR spoke with hobbyist, Mike Pap, about his journey in building an autographed 1961 Fleer Basketball set.

Set Registry Starter Kit: Tony Gwynn
Tony Gwynn was a legendary hitter whose accomplishments made him one of the game’s greatest stars. Despite his achievements, which include a first-ballot Hall of Fame induction, his rookie cards are still reasonably priced. SMR takes a detailed look at Tony Gwynn’s Rookie Card Set and outlines what hobbyists can expect when building that collection.

A Message from the PSA President Regarding Turnaround Times

PSA Set Registry Updates
As we near the ’home stretch’ of launching ’Phase 2’ of the Achievement Program, we also continue to prepare for the 2019 awards season by focusing our efforts on the many new slot and new set checklist requests we have in our queue.

In the last two weeks, we’ve processed 917 new slot requests and have added 69 new set checklists. As always, we thank you all for keeping our plates ’full’ and mostly for your continued patience and support as we strive to make the Registry the best it can be. Should you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
