Taking My Hacks: An Evening with Frank Robinson
It is easy for collectors to get caught up in the spectacle of our heroes and forget that at the end of the day they are people just like us. Sadly, we lost one of those people recently with the passing of Baseball Hall of Fame member, Frank Robinson. In his latest edition of Taking My Hacks, Joe Orlando recalls an evening he spent with the great slugger and the impression that it left behind.

Collecting the 1951 Topps Red and Blue Back Baseball Card Sets – The Beginning of a New Era
Though unrealized at the time, Topps began a decades-long journey into the baseball card world with their 1951 Red & Blue Back sets. Slight of stature and content, these two issues are actually Topps’ first mass-produced baseball card sets. The following SMR article details these significant sets that live in the shadow of the legendary Topps release of just one year later.

A Message From the PSA President Regarding Turnaround Times
Assuming that value is not a concern, which trading card theme do you most enjoy in your collection?
  1. A rookie card
  2. The final card issued during a player’s career
  3. A greatest moment-type card recognizing a single achievement
  4. A retrospective card honoring a player’s entire career
