More than 50 historic items related to Babe Ruth will be prominently displayed as a featured exhibit at the next Long Beach Coin, Currency, Stamp & Sports Collectible Expo, September 4-6, 2014. The display by Memory Lane will include signed letters, photographs, a 1927 souvenir program book, a 1932 Ruth game-used bat, high-grade Ruth 1933 Goudey cards and dozens of other significant memorabilia and artifacts related to the great "Bambino."

Exhibit Celebrates Thrilling 1964 Champions Cleveland Browns

New exhibit opening Saturday, September 6th at the WRHS History Center. The Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) is launching an exhibit commemorating the 50th anniversary of the championship season of the Cleveland Browns. The exhibit, 1964: When Browns Town was Title Town, focuses on the excitement the community felt as well as the team’s place in history as an underdog team unexpectedly won a championship in a crushing victory.

Ruth Cards, High Grade Hornung Rookie Lead $2.2 Million Memory Lane Auction

Bidders chased down hundreds of high grade and seldom offered vintage sports cards in Memory Lane’s Summer Rarities Auction, with several new sales records set. Three vintage Babe Ruth cards sold for a combined $222,270 in Memory Lane’s Summer Rarities Auction which closed early Sunday morning but there were plenty of other noteworthy sales.

It’s Worth That Much? PSA Cites Examples of Valuable Modern Sports Cards

Some otherwise common, modern sports cards valued at less than $100 "raw" can be worth thousands of dollars in certified, pristine condition. For example, the 1971 Topps (#341) Steve Garvey baseball card often sells uncertified for only about $30, but one that was graded PSA Gem Mint 10 (on a scale of 1 to 10) sold in an auction for more than $25,000.
