The 1952 Berk Ross Baseball Card Set - Overlooked No More.

During the 1950s, there were several great trading card issues produced that weren't of the mainstream Bowman or Topps variety. There were some highly collectable regional issues like the 1954 Red Heart Dog Food set and even a series of Red Man tobacco cards made from 1952-1955. With so many great baseball card sets issued during that time period, it's easy to see why an otherwise great set could get overlooked. That seems to be the case with the 1952 Berk Ross baseball card set. This 72-card set includes some of the biggest names in history including Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and Ted Williams. In the following article, it's easy to see why this often overlooked set is gaining in popularity.

Often referred to as a Test issue, the set did not receive traditional distribution, which drastically limited the amount of cards entering the marketplace. Why the Topps issue never made it to mass production remains a mystery but, as a result, the set now presents an incredible challenge. Which one of the Flash Gordon cards is the toughest of all? Read more to find out.
