The 1958-59 Parkhurst Hockey Set: Want to Add Some "Zip" to Your Vintage Hockey Collection?

The 1958 Parkhurst hockey set may only be 50 cards in size but don't be deceived, it is still a card collecting challenge.  As with most Parkhurst issues, this set is tough to locate in high grade.  Anchored by several HOF players like Maurice Richard and Jacques Plante, this set also includes several "special" cards which capture players in action sequences and different poses.  In the following article, we hear from the collectors who have decided to tackle this eye-appealing puck issue.

The 1964 Topps "Tall Boy" Hockey Card Set: Pursuing a Classic Puck Issue

The 110-card, 1964 Topps hockey set is one of the premier trading card sets in the entire hobby.  In fact, of all the "Tall Boy" sets issued by Topps, which includes the 1965 Topps football and 1969 Topps basketball sets, this hockey release is the toughest to find in top grades.  Filled with HOF players, rookies, short prints and a high-number All Star run near the end, this classic hockey card issue remains one of the most desirable sets in sports card collecting.

Simgin – The Number One Current Finest 1912-13 C57 Hockey Set
When it comes to sportscards, it is hard to argue that there is a tougher group to find in high-grade than those that reside in the pre-war hockey segment.  The classic tobacco sets from the early part of the 20th century are some of the toughest sets to put together in the entire hobby.  The 1912 C57 set is one of those ultra-challenging issues.  This 50-card set is chock full of Hall of Famers like Art Ross and Georges Vezina and it even has a few key rookies like Punch Broadbent and Eddie Gerard.  This year's winner, which exhibits a 5.71 GPA, is the finest C57 set ever registered on the site.
