Frank Evanov - The Number One Current Finest Mike Bossy Basic Set
To many, Mike Bossy was one of the greatest hockey players ever. He played with the New York Islanders for his entire NHL career and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991. An exceptional right wing, he was known for his powerful shot. In his rookie season he brazenly predicted he would score 50 goals, and he did. Scoring 53 goals he earned the Calder Trophy for rookie of the year, and continued to play hard, helping lead the Islanders to four Stanley Cup championship wins. While this 18-card set is not a large one, this collector has managed to populate it with several of the highest graded items. This set has won "Best of the Registry" from 2007 through 2009 and holds a strong 8.98 set rating. This collector has also imaged each card for all to view. Click here to enjoy.

Question: What are the differences between the 1914 and 1915 Cracker Jack sets?

Answer: There are a few to note. First, unlike the 1915 issue, the 1914 cards were not released as part of a redemption program to the public. That is why you see so many more high-end examples from 1915 versus 1914. In addition, the 1914 cards were printed on thinner paper stock. Furthermore, the backs of the 1915 cards were printed upside down, unlike the 1914s. Finally, the content of each set is slightly different. Christy Mathewson, for example, has two entirely different poses - one pitching (1914) and one portrait (1915). Another difference in content centers around Hall of Famer Frank Chance, who was only featured in the 1914 set.
