Question: This year, Randy Johnson reached the 300-win plateau so does that make his collectibles a good investment?

Answer: This is always a tough question to answer due to the variety of factors that make an athlete's collectibles desirable. The one great thing about someone like Johnson reaching such a terrific milestone is that since collectors tend to assemble collections by theme, this automatically makes Johnson a necessary component for anyone compiling a 300-Win Club collection. So, entry into a specific club will always have a positive effect on the demand for a member's collectibles. That said, it doesn't necessarily mean that the effect will be great. Other factors such a popularity and scarcity will also have an impact.
