1966 Topps Baseball Set: One of the Most Underrated Issues of the Decade
The 1966 Topps baseball set has always been considered one of the more attractive issues of the 1960s. When found in top condition, these cards are extremely visually appealing but the issue does have its challenges - namely tilts that cause many of the cards to be off-center. Anchored by great rookie cards like those of Jim Palmer, Fergie Jenkins and Don Sutton, this set starts with Willie Mays and ends with Gaylord Perry. In the following piece, we take a look inside this classic 1960's set. More...

Collecting Rickey's Cards - Henderson Headed for Cooperstown
Rickey Henderson is scheduled to be enshrined into the Hall of Fame later this year. For many hobbyists, selecting Henderson in his first year of eligibility was a no-brainer as many consider him to be the greatest lead-off man of all-time. Henderson, whose 1980 Topps rookie card is deceptively tough in PSA Gem Mint 10 condition, ranks at or near the top of several career offensive categories. In the following piece, we take a look at the cards that picture the man who was as lethal on the bases as he was at the plate. More...

There's Doug Mohns, Johnny Bucyk, and Bobby Hull, just to name a few. The finest possible set rating is 9.36, and while this set is not quite there... yet, this collector is clearly making progress with a set rating of 7.19. Question: As you know, Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice were both voted in to the MLB Hall of Fame recently. Does that mean their collectibles will go up in value?

Answer: Well, getting voted into the Hall of Fame can only help the value of someone's collectibles. That being said, this year, it will probably have a greater impact on Rice collectibles than Henderson's simply because most hobbyists anticipated Henderson's entry but Rice was a bit more of a surprise -- at least this year. Due to the surprise, Rice collectibles should enjoy a little more of a surge now that he is a must for Hall of Fame collectors of different things such as rookie cards, autographs and game-used bats. Henderson, due to his overwhelming resumé, was expected to go in on the first try so there will be less "shock value" added to his collectibles.

PSA authenticates and/or grades a variety of collectibles such as trading cards, autographs and game-used bats but, if it were up to you, which of the following collectibles should PSA add to their list of services next?
  1. Game Used Jerseys and Equipment (other than bats)
  2. Championship Rings, Trophies and Awards
  3. Publications
  4. Comic Books
