The Year of The Mick: Collecting 1956 Topps Baseball
The 1956 Topps baseball card set is exceptional in that it marked the beginning of a new era in the card collecting industry. The set contains 340 numbered cards along with two unnumbered checklists. Despite its relatively small size, the set is the most graded Topps product of all time. This is a testament to its durability and popularity. Click here to read on.

Defending the Defenders
Defensive specialists, in all sports, have always been underappreciated. This is especially true in our hobby. When it comes to collectible values, the defenders are usually left in the dust by the offensive machines. Click here to read more.

Peter Garcia - The Number One Current Finest 1914 Cracker Jack Baseball Set
For five years, Peter Garcia has remained number one for his 1914 Cracker Jack set, winning the "Best of the Registry" certificate each year. PSA Set Registry Awards Deadline May 31st
The deadline for this year's PSA Set Registry Awards is Thursday, May 31st. Any new sets or edits to existing sets must be validated before 7:00 pm EST (4:00 pm PST). In order to qualify you must own and have possession of the cards you are listing in your sets.

WE MUST RECEIVE YOUR EMAIL BY 7 PM EST (4 PM PST) IN ORDER FOR THE CARD TO QUALIFY. DO NOT send your email to [email protected] or to an individual.

Question: Is there a reason that certain sets are not included in SMR but others are?

Answer: Good question. Generally speaking, the pricing of sets is based on demand from the public, but SMR is a living, breathing guide and we are always interested in expanding it. For example, there are some very tough early issues that sell for a lot of money but are so rare that they are virtually impossible to price. In any event, our staff is always looking for suggestions on how to make the price guide more comprehensive.

In your opinion, which of the following rookie cards has the best long term upside?

  1. 1948-49 Leaf Stan Musial
  2. 1951 Bowman Willie Mays

  4. 1957 Topps Frank Robinson
