Memory Lane Auction Tops $2.1 Millions
Living up to its advertising as "the fastest growing auction in the hobby," Memory Lane Inc., long known by collectors as a place to get high end tough vintage cards, produced a stellar auction event on Thursday, August 10th, with total auction prices realized in excess of $2,100,000. Shaun Alexander and Ben Roethlisberger: The Past, Present, and Future of the NFL's Super Duo
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander have been, and hopefully will continue to be, two of the most exciting players to take to the professional gridiron in recent years. So now, with the 2006 season on the brink, the question looms: can the NFL's 2005 MVP and the AFC's Super Bowl winning quarterback each lead his team back into postseason and championship play? Click here to read on.
The Objective Subjectivity of Game-Used Bat Grading
When it comes to grading game-used bats, the most frequent concern PSA/DNA hears from collectors is that the grading process is too subjective. In response to that concern we thought it would be helpful to offer a review of our grading criteria. It is our hope that this review will give collectors a better understanding of the tremendous effort we employ to be as objective as possible in determining the final grade on a game-used bat. PSA SET REGISTRY SM SPOTLIGHT
Mark927's - The Number One Current Finest 1933-34 Canadian Gum (V252) Set
OK, so the GPA for this complete set is only 3.12, but don't let that fool you. This set is tough! Just think about it this way: 7 of the cards in Mark's set are the single finest graded. Mark has managed to secure the "Best of the Registry" award for both 2005 and 2006. To further enhance the set, Mark has included scans of each card in the set. In addition, to establish himself as the V252 king, the 2nd and 3rd ranked sets also belong to him! Congratulations. Click here to view.

Question: Why are some very important cards not listed in SMR?
Answer: Great question. While we have added many prices over the years, there are some cards that are so rare that they are difficult to price. For example, the 1914 Baltimore New Babe Ruth card is one of the toughest cards in the hobby. While it is very important and one of the most valuable cards on the planet, it is so rare that pricing the card is virtually impossible. As more sales are recorded for rarities like this, we do plan on adding more issues.
