PSA SET REGISTRY SM SPOTLIGHT
Andy & Matt's - The Number One Current Finest 1968-69 Jack in the Box San Diego Rockets Set
This fun little set was issued by Jack in the Box and available in their restaurants in the greater San Diego area. The cards are head and shoulder shots and are only 2" x 3". Andy & Matt's set has won the "Best of the Registry" award for both 2005 and 2006 and has a very high GPA of 9.13. Over half the cards in this 14-card set are PSA 10s. The Henry Finkel card, a short print, is the highest graded by PSA and the only one graded PSA 8! Click here to view.
PSA Set Registry Luncheon
It was great seeing everyone who attended the PSA Set Registry Luncheon last week in Anaheim. Hall of Fame inductee, Jim Crandell, gave a talk on how he started collecting and where he is today with his collection. PSA president, Joe Orlando, discussed what's new at PSA and took questions from the audience. Awards were handed out to all the 2006 Set Registry award winners who were in attendance. It was a great time, and we look forward to seeing everyone next year in Cleveland!
New PSA/DNA Autograph Registry!
The Autograph Registry is a place where collectors can compete in a variety of categories, from sports to historical to entertainment autographs. We have launched the registry with several categories to give collectors some guidance, and hopefully, it will help collectors create their own autograph set category themes. Everything from Presidents to Moonwalkers to Rock and Roll Legends can be collected, in addition to all of the traditional and non-traditional sports autograph themes that collectors are familiar with. This will give autograph collectors the same opportunity as trading cards collectors have to be recognized and compete with the best in the world. Click here to view the Autograph Registry.
New Mega-Sets Category
You may have noticed a new category in the Registry for Mega-Sets. In the coming weeks, we will be adding set composites for collections such as Play Ball, Goudey and Bowman baseball runs, Bowman and Philadelphia football runs, Tall Boy basketball sets, and Parkhurst hockey runs. These challenging sets are designed for those who are building collections by theme.
