MastroNet's $10.2 million December sale, featuring the infamous Bartman foul ball and Emmitt Smith's record breaking football, smashed the all-time auction record. Click here to read all about it.
Whack Jobs
"Trimming" is a naughty word in the world of card collecting, and for good reason. The last thing a collector wants is a doctored card. But spotting whack jobs isn't always easy -- many trimmed cards look genuine and some genuine cards look trimmed. In this article, PSA President Joe Orlando provides some tips for avoiding the doctored ones. Click here to read on.
Where Have You Gone, Rafael Palmeiro?
Off-season trades and free-agent signings have left last year's rosters scattered to the winds. See if you can place these eleven major league stars with their new teams. Where is Javy Lopez playing in 2004? How about Todd Walker? David Wells? Gary Sheffield? Click here to test your knowledge.

Question: I heard that PSA is going to be grading single signed baseballs soon. I am really excited about it but I had one question. Does it matter if the ball is signed on the sweet spot versus the side panel?
Answer: Great question: To PSA -- no. Since we are focusing 100% on the condition of the piece, we are not going to factor the location of the autograph in the grading unless the eye-appeal becomes a major issue. It is true that many people prefer sweet spot versus side panel autographs but that is for the market to decide. It may affect the value but not the grade.
