Emil Batch


Emil Batch (1880-1926) played four years in the Major Leagues at third base and in the outfield for the Brooklyn Superbas (1904-1907). Ironically known as “Ace”, Batch led the National League in errors in his sophomore seasons, though only committed 11 as a rookie. Emil posted a .886 career fielding percentage with 69 total errors. Emil Batch ended his short career with a .251 career batting average, 315 hits, 134 runs, 37 stolen bases and 98 RBI.
